Perth-Wellington, ON - John Nater, Conservative M.P. representing Perth-Weliington congratualted on his election as Leader of the Conservaitve Party of Canada. 

I would like to extend my sincere congratulations to Erin on his victory" said Nater "Since his election to Parliament in 2012, Mr. O'Toole has shown he is a man of integrity and dedication. I know he is dedicated to serving Canadians in every region of the country. Over the past four years, I have had the honour of hosting Erin in Perth-Wellington on several occasions for meetings with local business owners, farmers, and families."

"From his time in Canada's Armed Forces, his work in the private sector, his experience as a Cabinet Minister, and his eight years as a Member of Parliament in both Government and Opposition, he has the right experience to lead our party and our country. I look forward to him defeating Justin Trudeau so we can form a Government of which all Canadians can be proud," added Nater. 

Despite the leadership election occuring during a global pandemic Conservatives from coast to coast to coast were engaged in this exciting race. With 175,000 votes cast the 2020 Conservative Leadership Election had the largest particiaption of any leadership election in Canadain history. 

The Honourable Erin O'Toole won the leadership with 57% of vote on the 3rd ballot.
