
John Nater
Conservative Candidate for Perth–Wellington
John Nater was raised on a family pig farm in Logan Township (now West Perth). He currently resides in Mitchell with his family.
He holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Public Affairs and Policy Management (BPAPM) from Carleton University and a Master’s Degree in Public Administration (MPA) from Queen’s University.
John served on West Perth Municipal Council from 2010 to 2014, representing the Mitchell Ward before being elected as the Member of Parliament for Perth–Wellington in 2015.
During his time in Parliament, he has been a passionate advocate for improving essential infrastructure, upgrading rural internet, defending Canadian agriculture, ending internal trade barriers, and promoting safe sport.
As a dedicated member of the Public Accounts Committee, John is committed to fighting corruption, opposing wasteful spending, and restoring government accountability.
